ON FRIDAY... :D

so basically on friday, we are told to bring out brickboys to sch and to present to the whole class abt what we did, the character and the difficulties we faced. (: many of the brickboys are beautiful and their colour scheme is nice! i used colour pencils as i cant find my paint brush. yeah so just use colour pencil to colour the body and so on. its not attractive enough as the colour don't really stand out. if using paint i guess it would be better (:

so next time must use either paint or markers to let the drawings stand out! :D yupp so that's basically about friday bah. and 1 more thing. we were required to redo the brickboy again. haha

so next post will be on monday's design studio! uh huh, we draw fruits or vegetables on monday!

LARGER VERSION OF BRICKBOY

today blogger have problem i think. i cant upload the pictures on my brickboy.

well nevermind will upload the pictures tomorrow or so bah.

so on WEDNESDAY[16/04], we were required to draw the front and back views of the character we chose. and i chose GIAN, the big bully in doraemon.

and so, i started to draw the 3 dimension of the brickboy.

as gian is obese so its easier to arrange the boxes according to his size.

the bigger box will be his body and the medium box will be his legs.

aft finish drawing the front and back view and the 3d image, we were told to let the lecturers to take a look at it before we can start on our larger version of brickboy.

the lecturer told me to try different combinations and i think its weird aft trying 3 combinations

in the end, the 1st combination is better and we started to work on the template.

we have to enlarge the original template to times 2.

this is where i have problems. in order to enlarge the template, we have to measure accurately.

while drawing the template, i keep erasing as i measure wrongly.

aft a few attempts, i succeeded and started drawing the face n body onto the drawing block.

and so that's roughly about it on wednesday and on friday we were suppose to bring our brickboy to sch and present it in front of our class. (:

a SMALLER VERSION of B.R.I.C.K.B.O.Y

so on the 1st day of sch, in the aftnn, we were told to build our own BRICKBOY, using the template given. we were told to draw out the template on our drawing paper and cut them out, its quite tedious while copying the template to the drawing paper cuz we have to measure accurately and draw on paper. roughly spend abt 1 hr plus to do the template bah.

aft finish drawing the template, we cut out the template using penknife and use UHU glue to fix them together. (: initially i have difficulties fixing the brickboy together cuz i don't really hnow how to fold the parts. but aft trying a few times i have succeeded.

overall the making of BRICKBOY is fun but tiring! so that's all for 14 apr aftnn. during the next DS lesson, we were told to choose a character that evryone knows and transform it into a brickboy of a larger version. next post will be on the larger version of brickboy.

1ST DAYY OF SCH! (: [14/04/08]

okay, so on the 1st day of sch which is on 14th apr, de lecturer told us to draw the details of anything in the studio. so he ask us to divide the drawing block into 4 parts, and draw the details of the thing. the thing is my WATCH! haha. (:

spend abt 1 hr plus to finish the drawings. had a hard time drawing my watch, cuz it hv quite a lot of details. yeah and aft we finish drawing, de lecturer ask us to pin up our work on the board. and then ask us to vote which is the best 5 lor. hees :P

the drawings stand out most when u hv shadings and details, thats what most of us tink of. haha so that's all for 1st day morning le. next post will be on 14 apr aftnn whr all of us were required to build a BRICKBOY! ((:
